During the initial planning
stages I carried out questionnaires to get clear feedback from our audience
which enabled us to identify the demand from the audience for the music video
and what it would take to satisfy them. I believe this contributes to the
success of the music video. We were able to have a clear identification of what
the audience specifically wanted to see within the music video.
Examples of 4 questions from the questionnaire produced:
1) Would you like the visuals to compliment the lyrics?
Answer: Yes
2) Which settings fit in well with this genre? Bar, Gym, Bedroom, Club

Answer: Yes
2) Which settings fit in well with this genre? Bar, Gym, Bedroom, Club
3) Which types of lighting are generally present within the genre of music? High key lighting, low key lighting or natural lighting
Answer: 8 - High key lighting, 9- Low key lighting
4) What emotions do the lyrics help you experience?
Answer: ‘’ the lyrics help me experience many emotions, it reminds me of the times me and by boyfriend used to argue so it made me feel very sad and depressed however, at times it also reminded me of the good times we had together so it also made me glad and happy, it consists of a roller-coaster of emotions’’
The feedback was extremely effective when making decisions in regards to the music video as we had clear, responsive feedback which we could then use to meet the demand set by the audience in order to satisfy and appeal to them in every way possible. I believe that gathering feedback is an essential tool when it comes to planning as it determines your success which is resulted by your target audience.
Importance of receiving critical feedback once the production has been made:
Receiving critical feedback once the production was made is crustal as it will enable me and my group to identify whether I was able to meet the demand set by the audience. Also, I was able to identify if my music video was a success and conventional to the genre.
Benefits of putting the production on YouTube:
We put our work on YouTube as it is a world-wide accessible website which is dominating and extremely popular. This enables the growth of our music video and helped us get more feedback from a variety of audience members which will allow me to measure the success of my music video.

Benefits of putting the production on Facebook:Putting the music video on Facebook was another effective way of receiving secure feedback from audience members. Also as it is another popular social media website I am able to ensure more methods of access to my music video.
'' I love the story of the video, its so clear ''
'' I think you clearly represented the star image''
''I would've liked it if you used more locations''
''Maybe a few more shots of the male artist?''
what you learnt from it:
Focus group
We held a focus group to showcase our final music video to a audience for the first time and listen to the vital feedback they gave.
From the feedback we received it is evident that our music video was successful in terms of portraying the narrative and the star image as well as the characters well. On the other hand, it has made me realise that I could’ve included a couple more locations for the music video to be based in to appeal to a much larger audience span. Also the lip syncing could’ve been more improved through the use of editing as well as recording it many more times to ensure we got it on point.

Proficient discussion here on the significance of audience feedback. The purpose of carrying out a questionnaire in your research stage is mentioned well and you highlight some of your key questions and feedback you received. Audience feedback after post-production is also highlighted which shows that you have thought about whether you created a conventional product or not. Some varied use of technology presented.
