Planning: Characters

Choosing our characters was another essential aspect whilst planning our music video. In this part we had to ensure that our characters will be appealing to the music video and also will be able to portray the stereotypical themes that take place within aspects of the song. I also know that the characters will determine the success of our music video, as they will need to have a bond with the audience for them to interact more.

The male character featuring in the music video will be Sezer.

Name: Troy

Age: 19

Ethnicity: Mediterranean

Gender stereotype: Aggressive, careless, assertive.

Costume: Dark, comfortable, gym wear  

Hair and make up: Casual to fit the themes of the song

Body language & Facial expressions: Stern, robotic, stable

Represented as: A typical dominant boyfriend, controlling, bad temper

Role within the music video: Artist, boyfriend.
Other: Doesn't like to speak about his emotions, instead takes it out on other things such as gym. Loves his girlfriend however, doesn't want to loose the alpha and dominant look therefore he is very stubborn.

An artist we want our male character to shadow is Eminem. This is due to the way he is dressed and the way that he acts in his music videos as well as reality.

Age: 18

Ethnicity: Mediterranean

Gender stereotype:  Vulnerable, emotional

Costume:  - Bright clothing to show her innocence

                - Casual clothing, home clothing, pyjamas

Hair and make up: Casual to suit the bedroom environment

Body language: Comfortable, stressed

Facial expressions: Upset, annoyed

Represented as:  Subordinate character dominated by the alpha male

Role within the music video: Artist, girlfriend

Other: Not as stubborn as the male character as she is extremely emotional. May seem very serious however goes through many mood swings. Also, always ends up blaming herself for everything.
