Planning: Final idea

The music video my group and myself decided to use as our final idea for our production consists of the following genres: Dance,Electronic,Rock, Hip-Hop and Rap. The song is produced by the artist Diplo and Kai and is named ‘Revolution

Artist: Diplo Ft Faustix, Imanos and Kai.
Song title: Revolution

Genre: Rock, Hip-Hop and Rap

The Music Video:

Our final idea was decided amongst us for the following reasons. Firstly the themes that consist within the music video makes it easier for the audience to relate to the song as they experience these themes in their everyday life style. This includes freedom, being wild and having a relationship, which may contain problems that they need to overcome together or individually. Therefore, we believe that it will be easier to capture a larger audience by including these themes. Similarly the genre’s the music video falls under has a large amount of supporters, which will also contribute to increasing the amount of viewer  we can absorb.

Leona Lewis ' Bleeding Love'

In addition, there was also the use of other music videos which influenced us whilst making our decision. The first music video is produced by ‘Leona Lewis’ called ‘Bleeding Love’ Throughout the music video it is evident that the visuals present Leona Lewis as an extremely heart broken, destroyed person. She has been left to be independent and alone after her ending relationship. At the start of the music video she is in a city surrounded by lots of people however, towards the end of the music video she has been left alone in a huge city. I believe this represents that she has been left all alone and is lost without her partner. The music video is also narrative and performance based which we would like to cooperate into our music video. Finally, I believe that we can relate to the narrative with our music video as it is within a similar concept however our artist will face their problems through a different method.

    -more on mise en scene
    -artist and character representation?
