Planning: Audience



         Audience

An audience is individual or collective group of people who read or consume any media product. Without a audience there would be no media as media organisations produce media products in order to make profit they do this by ensuring they meet the demand of their audience to satisfy them. Moreover, having a target audience makes it easier to appeal to as you have a better understanding of what is needed to capture their attention.

Examples include:          

Radio listeners
Televisions viewers
Newspaper and magazine readers etc.










Age: 
My target audience age category will vary between 15-25 year olds. I believe my music video will best be suitable for these age groups as the concept of the music video makes it easier for them to relate to as it will highlight themes such as relationships, partying and fitness and a typical lifestyle problems occurring.





Gender:
The music video will be aimed at both genders (Unisex) as they can both relate to the narrative of the music video.







Race:
The music video isn’t aimed to appeal to any specific race therefore making it more relatable by everyone. 





Audience categoryThe audience category the music video is aiming is to category E & C2 as this includes the unemployed, students and casual workers. 








Income/ Bracket/Status: My music video will be targeted towards people with low – medium income as this fits best with the social class categories I have decided.







Hobbies and interests: Will consist of: Working out, fitness, partying, enjoying life and having fun, dancing and listening to music. 






Audience Reaction:
I want my audience to be able to react through all the experiences and emotions that will be offered to them

Audience engagement:
As audiences are active I want them to interact with my video in through every possible way, as the interpretation of the video will vary between different audiences.

Audience expectations:

I would like my audience to have expectations from my artist and genre. I will include conventional themes to ensure they can develop their expectations further.


Audience Foreknowledge:

I want my audience to feel like the music video has been made especially for them, which will enable them to relate throughout.


Audience Identification

I want my audience to relate to the concept of the music video as well as the artist. Make them feel like they are the artist through the visuals and lyrics.

Audience Placement:

I would like my target audience to relate to the music video throughout and put themselves in the artists shoes to make them feel like their telling their own story with all the emotions and experiences involved.
Furthermore, I would like my audience to be able to relate to the themes of the song as well as my artists. I believe they will be able to relate and put themselves in the artists shoes and feel like they're the one starring within the music video.
